LV Laser & Lipo is directed by Edward M. Zimmerman, MD. Dr. Zimmerman, graduated with departmental honors in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University and has a Masters in Physiology from Georgetown University. He received his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, after which he completed a three-year residency in Family Medicine in Beaver, Pennsylvania, with a heavy emphasis on surgical procedures, emergency room and urgent care medicine. As faculty of that residency, he introduced the first outpatient CO2 laser to Western PA. Dr. Z, as he is known by his patients, is currently serving as the President of the American Board of Laser Surgery.

He has been a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery since 1994. Dr Z is member of the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery; the American and European Academies of Cosmetic Surgery; The American Society for Liposuction Surgery, and the American College of Phlebology. He has received the prestigious Award for Academic Excellence in Cosmetic Surgery Education from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery; The "Best of Las Vegas" Award for Cosmetic Surgery for 2009; was selected as one of America's Top Surgeons 2010 by the Consumer's Research Council of America; was elected a lifetime member of Cambridge Who's Who Registry; and was selected as one of America Top Docs in Cosmetic Surgery 2010.

For over a decade, Dr. Zimmerman has cared for the cosmetic needs for the residents of Las Vegas, performing in-office laser and liposuction procedures and more. His current faculty appointments include Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine and the National Procedures Institute. He has lectured nationally and internationally for nearly two decades and hosted hundreds of physicians for preceptorships in his state of the art office. He is a life-long student, teacher and innovator with a passion for Cosmetic Surgery.

Las Vegas Laser & Lipo's offices are designed with our patients and practice in mind. We have the capacity to host comprehensive courses in Aesthetic Medicine, while offering state-of-the-art technologies, and a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Dr. Z performs or directs all services and procedures, on-site. Our friendly staff members are extensively trained on laser treatments we offer and what is currently available in the marketplace today.

Dr. Z specializes in outpatient cosmetic surgeries and procedures. He utilizes lasers, intense pulsed light devices, Botox® and Dysport neurotoxins, and various fillers such as Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm, Artefill & Sculptra, for skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. Cosmetic skin resurfacing is performed with either a Portrait PSR system, an Erbium YAG pixel or CO2 laser. The incisions required for facelifts, blepharoplasties and body surgery are performed with a CO2 laser or radio-frequency scalpel. Both modalities enable the doctor to work in a nearly bloodless field with great precision and minimal trauma to nearby tissue. Benefits to the patient are less bleeding, bruising and pain, with rapid healing. For those patients requiring a little less lift, Liquid Facelifts and demi lifts are available. Tumescent Liposuction is performed almost daily on virtually any body part that can accumulate disproportionate fat above the muscle. Necks, thighs, abdomens, male chests, female breasts, arms and buttocks have all been done. We have literally "sucked tons of fat" from Las Vegas residents and visitors.
